The attacker has scored 5 strikes in ten Spanish league appearances so far this term.

The Madrid giants winger Vinicius Jr has apologised to the fanbase for his response when replaced in the recent heated El Clasico win.

The Brazilian was replaced in the 72nd min and showed his disappointment by going straight to the dressing room.

Vinicius eventually reappeared to the bench and, after his team's 2-1 victory, sought to engage the opposition's Lamine Yamal during unsavoury after the game incidents.

"Now I want to say sorry to all the Madridistas for my response when I was substituted in the derby," he shared on social media.

"Just as I have said in person during today's training, I would like to express regret anew to my team-mates, the team, and the president.

"Occasionally fervor overcomes me because I always want to succeed and support my team. My competitive character stems from the passion I have for this team and each thing it symbolizes."

Vinicius joined Real from Flamengo in 2018 for millions and has accumulated 111 goals in more than 300 games.

But his future in the Madrid is unclear with rumors in lately stating that Los Blancos would consider letting the 25-year-old depart if they were to receive a good proposal.

When he was substituted on the match day, TV coverage from coverage provider the platform captured him stating: "Again me! I'm departing the side! It's wiser if I depart, I'm going."

In his latest post on the platform, he said: "I vow to keep fighting constantly for the benefit of Real Madrid, as I have done since the first day."
